It further increased its shareholding in Portugal's leading insurer group Fidelidade to just under 90% and bought US insurer Meadowbrook Insurance Group (MIG) and Ironshore, the Bermuda-based international specialty insurer to add to its existing Asian insurance and reinsurance operations.
