Health care is currently under intense pressure both to be cost-effective and to deliver the service its users want. Researching health care is an important contribution to the debate about the most appropiate research method for evaluating its effectiveness. Bringing together an international team of health researchers from a wide variety of disciplines, it shows that complex health care problems can best be researched by using a broad range of research methods and by cooperating with other health workers in different health disciplines
