<abstract displayLabel="Summary">En este estudio se analizan las actitudes de los españoles frente a las catástrofes, desastres, situaciones de emergencia o situaciones de riesgo. En todos estos casos, se enfrentan situaciones que tienen la triple característica de ser:  dañinas para la vida, la salud o el genérico bienestar humano (individual o colectivo); infrecuentes, es decir, que son extracotidianas y no suelen ocurrir ;  demandantes de medidas de protección o aseguramiento que las impida, limite o compense. A todas estas situaciones cabe denominarlas situaciones de riesgo</abstract>
