<abstract displayLabel="Summary">Le développement rapide des technologies industrielles et médicales mettant en oeuvre des champs magnétiques statiques a accru ces dernières années l'exposition des personnes à ces champs et donné lieu à un grand nombre d'études relatives à leurs effets potentiels sur la santé. Dans le cadre de la série "Critères d'hygiène de l'environnement", l'Organisation Mondiale de la Santé (OMS) a récemment publié une monographie relative aux champs électriques et magnétiques statiques (OMS, 2006). Ce document, qui passe en revue les effets biologiques rapportés à la suite d'expositions à des champs magnétiques statiques, constitue, avec d'autres publications, la principale source de données scientifiques utilisée pour la rédaction des présentes lignes directrices (qui remplacent celles publiées en 1994)</abstract>
