<abstract displayLabel="Summary">En Octubre 17, The Experimental Economics Center (ExCEN) que hace parte del Andréw Young School of Policy Studies de Georgia State University realizó el primer evento de su serie Cátedras Distinguidas, donde el Dr. Peter P. Wakker presentó su estudio: "Improving Rational Insurance Decisions by Providing Clients with Risk Information". En el caso colombiano, la Superintendencia Financiera está llevando a cabo el valioso esfuerzo de proveer información sobre los costos de los servicios financieros al consumidor. En el caso de los seguros, la información que se debe ofrecer a las personas no es obvia, dado que los seguros no son un producto homogéneo en el sentido en que dos de estos productos pueden tener el mismo precio, pero con diferentes características. Por tanto, la industria debe tomar la iniciativa de estudiar cuál debe ser la información que ofrece los mayores beneficios, tanto en términos sociales e individuales, e incorporarlo a la estrategia de comunicación del gremio</abstract>
