En effet, l'Autorité de Contrôle des Assurances et des Mutuelles a été rapprochée, par la volonté de Bery, de la Commission Bancaire. Les deux forment ains, au côteé des autorités d'agremement, la toute nouvelle Autorité de Contrôle Prudentiel., l'ACP. Indépendante tout en étant adossée à la Banque de France, l'Institution est pleinement opérationelle aujourd'hui. Or, ses missions, périmètres d'intervention et moyens d'action sont sans commune mesure avec ceux de l'ancienne ACAM</abstract>
