520  ‎$a‎On July 6 2011, Mexico and the United States signed an agreement that allows trucks from each nation to travel on the other country's highways. The immediate effect of such a mesure will be the reduction in the costs of moving goods across the border. Under this agreement, truckers from countries will be able to carry goods into both countries. the goal of this paper is the analysis of the following topics: firs, to describe and understand the changes in the regulation that controls the transportation of goods between the US and Mexico; second, to provide a view of how these changes may affect parties associated with the transportation industry; third, to provide thoughts and analyze how these modifications may affect the exposure in underwriting, pricing and claims at the insurance and reinsurance levels, and fourth, to analyze a potential new business opportunity at the insurance and reinsurance levels
