A great deal of information has been amassed on this subject; our current goal is to systematize this information and make it available in this study and similar ones to be published in the future. The study also indicates that countries in which agriculture played an important social and economic role were those that showed the greatest commitment to addressing risk management and agricultural insurance</abstract>
