<abstract displayLabel="Summary">Durante los últimos años ha aumentado el número de empresas españolas que exportan servicios, ha mejorado notablemente la competitividad en sectores de futuro altamente sofisticados como los servicios a empresas, y los servicios no turísticos han comenzado a registrar superávits de balanza de pagos por primera vez a partir de 2008. También se ha producido un notable aumento de las ventas a destinos con mayor potencial de crecimiento en detrimento de las exportaciones a Europa. Ahora que la economía y la demanda interna recuperan tasas de crecimiento más dinámicas, las exportaciones de servicios van a ser fundamentales para afrontar dos grandes retos de la economía española en los próximos años: la creación de empleo y la generación de crecimiento sin aparición de nuevos déficits exteriores.</abstract>
