<abstract displayLabel="Summary">La transición hacia una economía descarbonizada requiere alcanzar un sistema eléctrico basado casi en su totalidad en fuentes renovables, algunas de ellas variables, y en el que la demanda debe jugar un papel mucho más activo que el actual. Sin embargo, un sistema así presenta importantes retos técnicos, regulatorios y políticos sobre los que conviene reflexionar y plantear soluciones de largo plazo. En este artículo se presentan algunas propuestas para la reforma del sector eléctrico, centradas alrededor de tres temas: el diseño del mercado eléctrico (con el foco puesto en el problema de la inversión), el diseño de tarifa y el papel de las redes eléctricas.</abstract>
