<abstract displayLabel="Summary">Según los datos publicados por Swiss Re en su estudio sobre el seguro en el mundo en 2019, la facturación total del seguro en dicho año fue de unos 6,5 billones de dólares, de los cuales 2,9 billones se correspondieron con seguro de vida y los 3,5 billones restantes a seguros no vida. Según dicha información, el mercado asegurador europeo genera uno de cada cuatro dólares facturados por el sector y es el segundo gran mercado mundial, tras Norteamérica. EE UU y Canadá aportan, juntos, un 42% de la facturación. Entre tanto, si el área de Asia-Pacífico se considerase como un todo, sería ligeramente superior al mercado europeo. </abstract>
