<abstract displayLabel="Summary">Research Through fiscal austerity and credible inflation targeting, the Russian government has controlled to protect its economy from external shocks, adding sanctions. Despite its success, the "Fortaleza" strategy has also come at a cost: the discontent of the population is developing in the face of economic stagnation expansion and fall of the genuine source of income. If Russia needs to increase its level of source of income, more powerful reforms are needed to triumph over structural obstacles to expansion, such as the strong footprint of the state.</abstract>
