<dc:description xml:lang="es">Sumario: Brassaï (1899-1984) is one of the essential names within the group of European and American photographers who throughout the 20th century managed to redefine identity and enrich the potential of photography as an artistic medium. Of his work, his work on Paris stands out mainly, the city in which he lived and of which he has left some of the most significant and recognized images by the general public. Brassaï not only captured vital moments of everyday Paris, his photographs also reveal details, contrasts, angles, perspectives and surprising settings of the French capital, in a clear expression of the powerful artistic dimension of his gaze. This contribution was masterfully brought together in the book Paris de Nuit: the evocative capacity of his images achieved unquestionable recognition that spread from artistic photography circles to the tourist industry and commercial photographic circuits</dc:description>
