<tableOfContents displayLabel="Contents">En el primer capítulo, se ofrece un panorama de la evolución mundial y regional de la inversión extranjera directa (IED) y se identifican las principales tendencias según los tipos de inversión, sectores y orígenes. En los otros dos capítulos se analiza la conexión entre la IED y las políticas de desarrollo productivo: en el segundo se examinan las políticas para la atracción de la IED y se proponen 17 lineamientos para que estas inversiones contribuyan en mayor medida a los procesos de desarrollo productivo, mientras que en el tercero se aborda la IED subnacional en cinco países de la región, se identifican tendencias y determinantes de anuncios de proyectos y se presentan recomendaciones para que la IED ayude a reducir brechas entre territorios y a maximizar los efectos positivos para su transformación productiva</tableOfContents>
