<dc:description xml:lang="es">Sumario: The article develops complete population mortality tables for CARICOM member countries, focusing the analysis on Trinidad and Tobago and Jamaica. Starting from abridged mortality tables, the authors apply the HeligmanPollard parametric model to generate complete tables by age and sex. The results are compared with other parametric and non-parametric models, assessing their statistical fit and demographic coherence. The study highlights the usefulness of these tables for public planning, pension systems, and the design of insurance products. It also underscores the importance of having actuarial tools adapted to the specific demographic contexts of developing countries</dc:description>
