Starting from abridged mortality tables, the authors apply the HeligmanPollard parametric model to generate complete tables by age and sex. The results are compared with other parametric and non-parametric models, assessing their statistical fit and demographic coherence. The study highlights the usefulness of these tables for public planning, pension systems, and the design of insurance products.
