<abstract>Les chariots automoteurs de manutention, qu'ils soient à conducteur porté ou accompagnant, sont à l'origine de plus de 8000 accidents avec arrêt, 700 accidents ayant entraîné une incapacité permanente et 13 décès en moyenne annuelle pour la denière décennie (1987-1996). Ces accidents ont connu une forte progression avec la courte  reprise économique de 1988 à 1991. Une sensibilité à la hausse qui doit attirer l'attention des préventeurs</abstract>
