<abstract displayLabel="Summary">El dispositivo denominado Intelligent Vehicle-Highway System (Sistema inteligente para vehículo-camino), mejor conocido como IVHS, da a los conductores un aviso adicional sobre un peligro inminente. El IVHS incorpora una amplia variedad de tecnologías, algunas antiguas y otras modernas. En Estados Unidos existe un proyecto, denominado Travtek, para instalar sistemas a modo de prueba que avisan a los conductores cuando existen condiciones peligrosas en los caminos debido a las condiciones del tiempo. Con los sistemas de advertencia para evitar choques y una mejor visión nocturna, se espera lograr una reducción significativa de accidentes con daños materiales y personales. Existen otros sistemas que pueden dar informes sobre las condiciones reales del tránsito e incluir un planeamiento diario</abstract>
