<abstract displayLabel="Summary">Une étude a été réalisée par l'INRS, dans quatre verreries, dans le but de mettre en évidence et de quantifier les risques pour les verriers, à partir des spectres d'émission énergétique des différents sources de chaleur utilisées. La note présente la méthodologie de l'étude, les résultats de mesures et leur interprétation par comparaison avec les valeurs limites proposées par l'"American Conference of Governmental Industrial Hygienists". Il est démostré que les rayonnements infrarouge, proche et moyen (IRA et IRB), peuvent être dangereux (cataractes, irritations de la cornée) dans le cas des pots et des cellules à bassin et que l'ultraviolet actinique et infrarouge proche et moyen peuvent, dans le cas des fours à gaz et des chalumeaux à rebrûler, présenter des risques pour les yeux et la peau (kerato-conjonctivites, photokératites et érythèmes). Seule, l'utilisation d'écrans adaptés peut remédier à ces problèmes</abstract>
