<abstract displayLabel="Summary">Les générateurs d'acétylène sont des appareils dans lesquels on obtien de l'acétylène en mettant en contact du carbure de calcium et de l'eau. Lors de leur manipulation, des accidents surviennent encore assez fréquemment. Lorsque la température est supérieure à 550ºC et que la pression dépasse 1,5 kg cm2, il y a danger de décomposition de l'acétylène, ce qui peut produire des explosions. De nombreux exemples de dégâts et d'accidents démontrent les dangers qui en résultent</abstract>
