<subfield code="a">A cross sectional study to identify workers with pneumoconiosis was conducted in a South African pottery manufacturing wall tiles and sanitary ware. The data gathered during the study were used: to calculate the prevalence rates of pneumoconiosis, to describe the radiological features of a series of cases with potters'pneumoconiosis, to describe the histological findings in a case of potters'pneumoconiosis, to investigate the relation between opacities on the chest radiographs and age, smoking, sex, and exposure to pottery dust so that factors influencing the x ray film readers to report opacities could be identified</subfield>
