Sumario: This paper describes an initial study to compare the efficiency of various types of firefighting foam in suppressing the emission of vapour from an exposed liquid surface of toluene diisocyanate. Ideally the foam should reduce the emission of vapour to well below the threshold limit value (TLV) of 0.02 ppm for long enough for a suitable method of disposal to be revised
