Section: ArticlesTitle: Human exposure to m-xylene : kinetics and acute effects on the central nervous system / V. Riihimäki and K. SavolainenAuthor: Riihimäki, V.Notes: Sumario: Inhalation exposure to m-xylene at 100-400 ppm caused some changes of psychophysiological performance of volunteer subjects, e.g. impairment of body balance and increase of reaction times. It recently performed a series of experimental inhalation studies with m-xylene to elucidate the kinetics and psychophysiological effects of the compound in man. In this comunication it reports on the relationship between the kinetics and acute effects of xylene with a further reference to a more recent comparative study involving m-xylene and alcoholRelated records: En: The Annals of occupational hygiene. - Oxford [etc.]. - nº 4, 1980 ; p. 411-422Materia / lugar / evento: Higiene industrialContaminantes químicosDisolventesXilenoEnfermedades profesionalesRiesgo laboralSistema Nervioso CentralNeurologíaMedicina laboralOtros autores: Savolainen, H.
