Title: On the quantitative definition of the inhalability of airborne dust / J.H. Vincent and L. ArmbrusterAuthor: Vincent, James H.
Notes: Sumario: The authors believe that, as a basis for static sampling of airborne dust in the workplace in order to assess the various sub-fractions of inhaled dust particles which are deposited in the regions of the lung, it is desirable to start from a quantitative working definition of inhalability. In view of the wide general agreement obtained in independent inhalability experiments at their respective laboratories, such a definition can be confidently stated for particles with aerodynamic diameter up to 100 microm. The recommended definition is embodied in a curveRelated records: En: The Annals of occupational hygiene. - Oxford [etc.]. - nº 2, 1981 ; p. 245-248Materia / lugar / evento: Higiene industrial Contaminación atmosférica Partículas ambientales Polvo Inhalación Vías respiratorias Riesgo laboral Otros autores: Armbruster, L.
