Title: Assessment of dust and endoxin levels in the working environment of Dutch pig farmers : a preliminary study / Peter Attwood... [et al.]
Notes: Sumario: This preliminary study quantified the levels of airborne dust and endoxins present in pig confinement buildings. The levels of endoxin determined in this study were similar tothose found in other studies but indicated that there is a significant enrichment of endoxin in the size fraction 3.5-8.5 microm . The implications from this are that the assessment of the potential health risk to the farmer from endoxin present in the airborne dust must be assessed using a biologically relevant criterion based on particle penetration into the thoracic region of the exposed farmer lungRelated records: En: The Annals of occupational hygiene. - Oxford [etc.]. - nº 2, 1986 ; p. 201-208Materia / lugar / evento: Medicina laboral Contaminantes químicos Polvo Recintos cerrados Ganado Granjas Enfermedades profesionales Enfermedades pulmonares Vías respiratorias Endotoxinas Bacterias Métodos de análisis Holanda Otros autores: Attwood, Peter
