Notes: Sumario: Tests on a new revision of the Manchester Asbestos Program (MAP) for the Magiscan system are described. This new revision contains additional programme steps to give improved discrimination betwen fibres and the other particles. Comparisons of the results obtained on routine asbestos clearance samples by five counting laboratories and three Magiscans show that the new software gives results within the range of visual counts.
