Notes: Sumario: This paper reports previously unpublished results of air sampling surveys of 40 operating theatres made by the Health and Safety Executive between 1980 and 1984 using diffusive samplers. A statistical analysis is made of the differences in mean exposures experienced by staff in theatres using local control (anaesthetic gas scavenging) and those without this facility.
