Sumario: An action level for measurements of employee exposure to a toxic substance is the point generally not more than half the permissible exposure at which precautionary measures must be taken by the employer. If the estimated employee exposure is at or above the action level, the employer must measure and monitor the exposure, initiate controls, train employees, provide medical surveillance, and keep records
