Secondly, prominent recent trends in working time schemes are presented, mainly on the basis of a recent ILO survey of working time patterns. Thirdly, the implications of these recent changes for the concept of night work are discussed. This helps to identify useful ideas for improvements in working time arrangements involving night and shift work
