Notes: Sumario: One advantage of water based paints is that they reduce the exposure to organic solvents. The chemistry of water based paints is, however, more diverse and complex than that of solvent based paints. Water based paints contain many additives, such as biocides, surfactants, pigments, binders, amines, monomers, and solvents. This chemical complexity may introduce new potential health hazards to house painters. Swedish painters have reported skin irritation, frequent urination and stomach problems when using water based paintsRelated records: En: Occupational and environmental medicine. - London and Margate. - nº 3, March 1994 ; p. 181-186Materia / lugar / evento: Medicina laboral Enfermedades profesionales Pinturas Disolventes Productos tóxicos y peligrosos Aditivos Lesiones cutáneas Lesiones oculares Aparato digestivo Otros autores: Norbäck, Dan
