Notes: Sumario: This paper examines a number of aspects of the principle of compatibility of proximity in the domain of graphical perception of data. Experiment 1 tests the hypothesis that integral displays will be superior to separable displays when information must be integrated. Experiment 2 tests the hypothesis that when attention must be focused, a separable display will be better than a integral display. Experiment 3 investigates how displays are tied to the operator's internal representation of tasksRelated records: En: Ergonomics. - London and Washington. - Vol. 34, nº 8, August 1991 ; p. 1047-1063Materia / lugar / evento: Ergonomía Sistemas de información Ordenadores Gráficos Cognición Sistema hombre-máquina Otros autores: Wickens, Christopher D.
