Sumario: A method for air sampling and quantitative analysis of ethambutol hydrochloride collected in dust form on filter cassettes has been developed. Etambutol is desorbed then derivatized using bis (trimethylsily) trifluoroacetamide in chloroform solution. The trimethylsilyl derivates of both ethambutol hydroxichloride and the standard [N,N-bis(2-hydroxyethyl)ethylene diamine] are analyzed by gas chromatography
