Title: Blood-containing aerosols generated by surgical techniques : a possible infectious hazard / Don L. Jewett... [et al.]
Notes: Sumario: The aerosols generated in an operating room during surgery were simulated in the laboratory by using a variety of common surgical power tools. All of the tools tested produced blood-containing aerosol particles in the respirable size range (<5 microm). Because surgical masks offer little protection against such particles, personal sampling is indicated to define the risk of exposure to blood-borne pathogens by this routeRelated records: En: American Industrial Hygiene Association journal. - Akron, Ohio. - Vol. 53, nº 4, April 1992 ; p. 228-231Materia / lugar / evento: Higiene industrial Contaminantes químicos Contaminación atmosférica Aerosoles Tratamiento quirúrgico Hospitales Cirugía Infecciones Análisis clínicos Plasma sanguíneo Riesgo laboral Otros autores: Jewett, Don L.
