This paper has delineated the major-AIDS-related policy issues that occur in the workplace: discrimination in employment, refusal of employees to work with HIV-infected co-workers, HIV testing, confidentiality, and the need for AIDS education. The most pertinent legal and social forces that shape AIDS policy in the workplace have been presented, using the AIDS policy for the city of Baltimore as an outline for discussion
