One goal was to identify process parameters that might be adjusted to efficiently reduce VOC emission from carpets. Although this study was conceived, designed, and executed prior to the federal register notice for the EPA carpet dialogue, the relevance of this particular study was enhanced by the EPA's request for cooperation.
