<abstract displayLabel="Summary">This work examines factors that affect dust generation: separation forces, binding forces, and the size distribution of the test material. The MRI and the Heubach dustiness testers treat material differently and so create different separation forces. Materials with different properties and moisture contents were tested to investigate the influence of binding forces on dust generation. Samples of each material were prepared with different particle size distributions to determine the effect of material size in the amount and particle size distribution of the dust generated</abstract>
