<abstract displayLabel="Summary">This paper describes to first ergonomics study to be carried out in Greece and focuses on the strain of work among steelworkers. The steelworks used for the research was Elliniki Halivourgia, situated on the outskirts of Piraeus. This plant, the only one of its kind in southern Greece, employs 325 workers. Heart rate was the main physiological variable used to estimate the strain imposed on the workers by the task</abstract>
