Sumario: This paper describes three different electromyography (EMG) applications related to a sport environment using three different EMG registration and data acquisition approaches. These comprised: (1) the study of muscular pattern specificity in using dry-land strength-training devices for swimming, employing a combination of telemetric and conventional EMG registrations; (2) the influence of ski materials on muscle activity, using a remote registration mode; (3) the study of muscular specificity and intensity in swimming against a mechanical-propulsion measuring device using an on-line registration system
