      <subfield code="a">Taking the three basic parameters of discomfort, viz. hotness, excess weight and bad fit, modifications were made on selected helmets, which were subjected to an evaluation in the field in Sri Lanka. The main aims of the field evaluation were to ascertain whether or not there were any significant differences in comfort levels between modified helmets and ones without modifications and to gauge the degree of importance of provision of extra ventilation and/or reduction in weight of helmets already available in the market</subfield>
