Section: ArticlesTitle: Level and distribution of employee exposures to total and respirable wood dust in two Canadian sawmills / Kay Teschke, Clyde Hertzman, Brenda MorrisonAuthor: Teschke, KayNotes: Sumario: The authors are conducting a retrospective cohort study of sawmill workers with the specific aim of determining the cancer and mortality outcomes in workers exposed to chlorophenate fungicides. Since wood dust is the other major sawmill exposure and is a potential carcinogen, it was important to examine the factors contributing to airbone wood dust in order to help classify the exposures of sawmill jobs. In this paper, the authors report total and respirable wood-dust concentrations measured in two British Columbia sawmills, and the impact of weather, ventilation, employee enclosures, and other variables on these exposuresRelated records: En: American Industrial Hygiene Association journal. - Fairfax, Virginia. - Vol. 55, nº 3, March 1994 ; p. 245-250Materia / lugar / evento: Higiene industrialAserradoMaderasInsecticidasToxicologíaEnfermedades pulmonaresCáncerVías respiratoriasCanadáOtros autores: Hertzman, Clyde Morrison, Brenda Secondary titles: Título: American Industrial Hygiene Association journal Other categories: 872Rights: In Copyright (InC)
