Notes: Sumario: Insurance and banking firms holding shares in firms of the other sector, if reciprocally, are defined as financial conglomerates. Concerning this type of companies it is reported that the Basle Committee on Public Supervision of Banking as well as the Commission of the EC are intending to install a common supervision of financial conglomerates, founded on consolidated annual accounts. In an economic point of view there are many implications.
