Title: Cognitive processes in engineering design : a longitudinal study / L.J. Ball, J. St.B.T. Evans and I. DennisAuthor: Ball, L.J.
Notes: Sumario: In this paper the authors report a longitudinal and qualitative study of the thought processes of semi-expert electronic engineers engaged in design projects. Design constitutes the central intellectual activity for professional engineers and a psychological understanding of the cognitive processes involved is potentially of great practical importance in at least three areas of application: the education and training of designers; the development of tools and environments for aiding the design process; and the development of automated design within intelligent computer systemsRelated records: En: Ergonomics. - London and Washington. - Vol. 37, nº 11, November 1994 ; p. 1753-1786Materia / lugar / evento: Ergonomía Ingeniería electrónica Diseño de sistemas Sistemas informáticos Psicología Cognición Otros autores: Evans, J.St.B.T.
