Sumario: The Human Genome project at the National Institutes of Health is in its third year of a 15-year project that will map in detail each of the estimated 100,000 geners that compose the human body. The results of the project will carry the almost inconceivable potential for predicting disease and developing cures and treatments. Many experts doubt that if genetic information were available it would be kept private or used only for the benefit of workers
