Notes: Sumario: Safety and health professionals around the world have become increasingly concerned over the lack of information on injury and illness prevention among temporary and contracted workers. The European Union has made an effort to reduce the risks to temporary and fixed-duration workers and to ensure that the same safety and health standards are ensure that the same safety and health standards are applied across international borders. Ten member countries of the European Union drafted Council Directive 92/57/EEC of June 24, 1992. Among other regulations, the directive established minimum safety and health requirements for the workplace.
