Cheap labor comes at a high price : children at work / by Sarah Wortham
Sumario: The work conditions many children endure constitute flagrant violations of basic human rights. In the worst cases, employers kidnap and enslave children. The children are forced to work as many as 16 hours a day, seven days a week, 52 weeks a year. They receive few breaks and little food. They are chained to their equipment by day and sleep on the floor beside it at night. Children who make mistakes or cry for their mothers are beaten or even tortured
