<abstract displayLabel="Summary">En el presente artículo se analizan algunos de los efectos que la implantación del euro va a generar sobre las entidades de crédito. En primer lugar, se estudian los efectos competitivos asociados a la moneda única, especialmente los factores que es posible que provoquen una reducción de los márgenes y los niveles de rentabilidad del sistema bancario español. En segundo lugar, se analizan los cambios estratégicos que están adoptando las entidades bancarias para hacer frente al reto de la moneda única</abstract>
