Today's HPR industry is incresingly "exposure management" driven, working more actively with rik managers, brokers and reinsurers. In place of the traditional single HPR carrier, a structured approach now spreads coverage among a number of insurers in an often-complex mosaic of participation. Many of the reasons for this market shift are readily apparent. Changes in the industrial landscape have resulted in larger concentrations of value in fewer locations. Competition within the property arena, fuelded by an abundance of reinsurance capacity, has attracted new carriers to the market, presenting a variety of coordination challenges for risk managers
