<subfield code="a">The objective of this study was to investigate the effects of different types of muscle contractions and the use of gloves on fatigue during sustained grip. Fatique has been described as "failure to maintain a required or expected force". Two categories of fatigue are recognized: central fatigue refers to poor motivation, altered central nervous system transmission and, peripheral fatigue is the result of changes within the muscle that decrease the ability to generate force</subfield>
