<abstract>En este artículo se recoge un resumen del Informe elaborado por el Centro de Investigaciones Energéticas Medioambientales y Tecnológicas (CIEMAT) sobre los posibles efectos de los campos electromagnéticos, asociados a las líneas eléctricas de alta tensión, en la salud de las personas y el medio ambiente. En este referente se hace acopio de la literatura científica y técnica más significativa sobre el tema, tal y como solicitó al Gobierno la Comisión de Industria y Energía del Congreso de los Diputados en octubre de 1997</abstract>
