      <subfield code="a">The article explains a concept strategic group, who appears to be a supply side concept in that it seeks to identify grouping or structures within industries, but it is a fact based on the observed a similarity of behaviour of firms. The stragic choices on which they are based are essentially long-term in nature and costly to reserve, and result in relatively tightly drawn group structures whithin the more loosely drawn industry structure of conventional theory. The strategic groups offers a distintive slant on the identifications of relative competitive position and suggest a systematic and comprhensive way of conducting a stregths and weaknesses analysis in terms of framework of relative competitive adventage</subfield>
