<abstract>Entre los días 27 y 30 de octubre pasado, se llevó a cabo en la ciudad de San Salvador , capital de El Salvador, el XIX Congreso de Aseguradores de Centroamérica, Panamá y el Caribe, organizado por la Asociación Salvadoreña de Empresas de Seguros (ASES). El tema central del evento, que convocó a más de 400 delegados y observadores, giró alrededor de los retos que enfrenta la actividad aseguradora ante el procesod e integracion regional los desafíos para el seguro el reaseguro en la actual coyuntura. Se incluyen las siguientes estadísticas: evolución de las primas de seguros en la región de ISPAPC (Insituto de Estudios e Investigaciones del Seguro de Centroamérica, Panamá y el Caribe) 1997-2001; evolución de los siniestros en la región de ISPAPC 1997-2001</abstract>
